And counting down each hour, minute and second. We are really almost on our way!
I must confess that as this phase of waiting, wondering, imagining, and longing ends that I'm feeling just a bit of, well sadness. This part of the process is like the anticipation of a much wanted Christmas and as tiring as that waiting becomes, its going to be missed when its over.
I know the REAL work is going to begin in just 5 days from now when we actually get to meet you and you realize that you are going to have to leave all you know behind and come with us. You will be scared, excited, overwhelmed and probably perplexed. We hate to think of you having to go through that but we also know that for your life plan, it will be one of the most important events in your life in determining how it will unfold.
We will allow you to cry, to grieve, to act incredibly silly or silent, whatever way you need to be able to process through this change. I hope you will be happy. Maybe not the first day, the first week or month, but that you will find your place and your joy.

It becomes very surreal about the 48 hour mark, doesn't it? One foot in front of the other, next step, next step. Everything is in the moment.
Setting aside the mind boggling perplexities of the place of international adoption in our global world, this next step is the right one for Ammon. He may be sad and he may be angry, but this is the right next step for him and for his new family.
I'll be thinking of you in China!!!
Congratulations!!!!!
Stefani - May blessing rain down on you, Ammon and your entire family as you leave for your long awaited and much anticipated trip to bring Ammon home. I'll be praying for safe travels for all of you, for the smoothest of transitions for Ammon and for the rest of your family waiting anxiously at home.
Can't wait to follow your journey...
Mary Y.
